Photo a day: First roll

This is photo number one in my “photo-d-day” project for 2011. The kagami mochi is a traditional Japanese new year’s offering. The little critter on the right is a rabbit, this being its year.

This was shot with a Olympus XA on Fujicolor 200 print film. I got through a week on this first roll. What I quickly found out was that shooting at least one photo a day doesn’t mean I’m going to get a presentable photo everyday. During the work week, especially, my world is limited to the commute, quick walk to the office and the view outside my window. Will have to keep a sharp look out to keep making pictures.
